Postdoctoral Fellow in Protein Chemistry
Applicants are invited for a PostDoc position at the Life and Medical Sciences (LIMES) Institute of the University of Bonn/Germany. You will join an interdisciplinary team, working in the field of Chemical Biology and DNA-Nanotechnology. The position is funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The successful candidate will be engaged in the development of molecular machines based on interlocked DNA-architectures.

The optimal candidate holds a Ph.D. in chemistry or molecular biology and has a strong theoretical and practical background in protein chemistry. However, applications are welcome from any candidate with excellent skills and enthusiasm for the subject area. Solid knowledge in protein expression and purification, and experience in modification of proteins by synthetic methods is desired. We expect the successful candidate to contribute to the realisation of proteins conjugated to functional DNA-architectures. Applicants should demonstrate a record of creativity and scientific productivity.

Application deadline is 9th of March. The position will be filled as soon as possible. The initial period of employment is 2 years, with the possibility of later extension. Salary is at E13 level according to the TV-L scale.
