Post: Postdoctoral Research in Cancer Biology Department/School/Faculty: Department of Histopathology, Trinity College Dublin. Closing Date: 2nd March 2012 Expected Start Date: 1st May, 2012 Contract Length: 12 months Salary Scale: IUA scale and based on experience and qualifications This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of researchers involving leading researchers from academic institutions (TCD, RCSI and The Biomedical Diagnostics Institute (BDI), DCU), companies and the clinical environments, who are focused on developing the next generation of diagnostic devices. This programme is funded through a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI)-funded Centre for Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) award. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of scientists, specifically focused on the development of a novel diagnostic platform in the area of oncology. Candidates must hold a PhD in cancer biology, a strong research record including publications appropriate to career stage, and be highly motivated. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in the areas of molecular cancer biology and/or animal tumour models. Excellent writing and communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
