Post-Doctoral Fellow in Epigenomics/Epigenetics

Fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and home to members of the Faculties of Medicine, the Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI) is part of one of Canada’s largest hospital-based research centers. As part of theOCIepigenomics group, Dr. Mathieu Lupien is currently seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow in epigenomics of transcriptional regulation in cancer. The objectives of the position will be to combine diverse assays (ChIP-seq,RNA-seq,RIP-seq, etc) exploiting massively parallel sequencing technologies to define the role of the chromatin landscape (epigenomics reprogramming and nucleosome repositioning) impacts transcription factors to promote cancer development and progression. Highly motivated applicants should have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology and preferably, research experience related to transcriptional regulation and “omics” approaches, hold a doctoral degree (M.D. or Ph.D.) in a relevant field, be looking for a collaborative and dynamic environment, and have a track record of productivity and innovation. Prior experience manipulating massively parallel sequencing datasets is an asset but not a requirement. The salary of this yearly renewable position will be established according to institutional guidelines.
