POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION ION CHANNELS
ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY/CALCIUM IMAGING/MECHANOSENSORY TRANSDUCTION/RENOVASCULAR PHYSIOPATHOLOGY

Our laboratory uses a multidisciplinary approach including molecular biology, proteomic profiling, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, arteriography and genetic manipulation to investigate the molecular physiology and pharmacology of stretch-activated ion channels.

A postdoctoral position is currently available for a collaborative project (co-PI: Dr. Ardem Patapoutian, The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA) about the role of Piezo 1 in cellular mechanotransduction with a focus on renovascular physiopathology. Experience with single channel recording and/or calcium imaging is desirable. A position is available immediately for a period of two years with possible extension. Candidates should have a keen interest in integrating and understanding ion channels biophysical properties and physiology.

Our laboratory is part of the CNRS Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology located in the City of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (South East of France). This is a leading centre in the research of ion channels with state of the art equipment. The city of Nice offers an international dynamic cultural experience combined with a magnificent scenery and easy access to air travel.
