The newly founded Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located in Mainz, Germany.

Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellows to work in the laboratory of IMB’s Scientific and Executive Director Prof. Christof Niehrs (www.imb-mainz.de/en/research-at-imb/niehrs/research/). The project addresses the mechanism of reprogramming, a process which involves epigenetic resetting, includingDNAdemethylation of pluripotency genes. Candidates will analyze the role of genes involved inDNAdemethylation in mouse mutants using state of the art techniques.

You will
• Have a PhD and background in mouse genetics, mouse phenotyping, and colony management
• Experience in epigenetics is desirable but not essential
• Have at least one first author paper in an international peer reviewed journal
• Have good written and spoken English
