A postdoctoral position in computational biology is available for a joint project between Texas A&M University in US and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. This project is led jointly by Dr. Jianhua Huang at TAMU and Dr. Xin Gao at KAUST.

The funding is available for two years. The candidates should hold a PhD in computer science, statistics, or a related field, with expertise in bioinformatics, and strong programming skills. Candidates with expertise in one of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: protein structure sampling/prediction, biological sequence analysis, biomedical imaging processing, and machine learning. This position will offer plenty of opportunity to work with interdisciplinary groups at TAMU and KAUST. Regular communications/travels between TAMU and KAUST are a part of the duty.
